The Chamber of Commerce: Building the Infiniverse Economy together
Along with storefronts finally being released to premium accounts and hundreds of them popping up during the first day, Alison Morano took a big step towards establishing a functioning and flourishing business community in Infiniverse: The Infiniverse Chamber of Commerce (ICoC), aimed at aiding business in areas like technological navigation, promotion and advertisement by working together.
“A Chamber of Commerce is a trade association of sorts”, explains Alison, who has been working professionally in this area for 20 years. “It's an organization made primarily up of business owners, but individuals can also join if they want to be active in the community. Businesses, educators, individuals meet and discuss ways to market their projects, network each other and promote the business community.” The ICoC has been long in the planning. “I honestly had the idea for the Chamber on my first day in the Infiniverse. When the storefronts were announced, I realized what that should look like and I started speaking with people about the idea very early on this Pre-Beta world.” Already a bunch of businesses and people have joined up to help evolve the business community through the ICoC, among them BizzyLizzy, Bouncer2552, Marie Almodes, Tink VanDiesel, Chris Gallagher and Ate.Asw, an more people are showing up every day.
Scott Earl, owner of the newly opened Speedpro Store, is one of the Infiniversers engaged in forming the new Chamber of Commerce. He has started a Leadership Committee, aimed at growing and bettering the districts, business sector and commerce in the Infiniverse, while helping with events, cross promotions and networking.
“I think in the beginning it will be important to help grow the Infiniverse with real world marketing and explanations”, Scott says. “Currently people have heard of the Metaverse, but struggle with either the transition or the understanding of what it is. I feel like the Infiniverse is different than others, like Sandbox and Decentraland by offering the opportunity to enter a virtual space at a relatively low cost. Just think, if you bought near space park in the beginning, your transactional value to a store front is at a very low cost to you. It will be important to bring in large business to solidify the end goal of a bustling economy. But it's important to not lose sight of small business, because small businesses are what fuels and grows any economy. ”
“Initially we need to form a marketing campaign to spread to our friends and family that easily shows the purpose and validity of the space”, says Scott, who is currently seeking more members for the Leadership Committee. If you want to get involved in the ICoC and cooperate with other businesses, there are several way of going about it.
"We're really looking for creators to help us build the business directories", says Alison. "We'll see where it goes from there. The Infiniverse is the limit – meaning there isn't one. To get involved – fill out the questionnaire, or find me, or DM me, or find someone else that's mentioned here. We are really just at the beginning – we just need people to be ready to help us get this done. All input is welcome and everyone is invited! Also look for notices about committee meetings and new Metaverse malls and directories starting that everyone can be a part of.” Alison adds that people should not confuse her role as an info-person for the Infiniverse with the Metaverse Chamber of Commerce initiative.
